Roger Federer HIT by Novak Djokovic

Team World's Jack Sock of the United States and Kevin Anderson of South Africa outlast Team Europe's Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Roger Federer of Switzerland in the men's doubles match.

Zverev had to grind out his win against American John Isner, the 21-year-old being forced to save a match point before ultimately prevailing 3-6, 7-6 (6), 10-7.

Maestro: Roger Federer has again proven too strong for Australia's Nick Kyrgios.

All eyes were fixed on longtime rivals Federer and Djokovic as they took the court for the final match, combining forces to play together for the first time after Team Europe had swept the first three singles matches.

Kevin Anderson took down Novak Djokovic for a second straight night as Team World rallied to win the final two matches and reel Team Europe's lead back to 7-5 after the second day of the Laver Cup in Chicago Saturday. This was Anderson's first singles win over Djokovic in a decade.

The next Laver Cup, which is named after Australian legend Rod Laver, will be staged in Geneva in September 2019.

Federer and Djokovic didn't have quite the same buzzing chemistry like Federer had with Rafael Nadal past year.

The deciding tiebreak is one of the most fun parts of the Laver Cup format and Day 1 saw three of them played.

Team World's frustration came to the boil with some vintage grumbling at the chair umpire from captain John McEnroe and Kyrgios over a disputed line call.

Europe needs only 13 points to take the title, which is being held for the second time.

Isner and Sock saved two match points in the super tiebreaker on their way to their doubles win.

Edmund then raced to a 7-2 lead in the 10-point tie-breaker that is used in the Laver Cup when the first two sets are split.

After dominating Friday's opening day, winning three out of the four matches, Europe's progress looked to be checked after Isner grabbed the first set against Zverev.

Except for one particular point.
