Meanwhile, Meghan's estranged half-sister, Samantha Markle, apologised to the Duchess publicly - but was still turned away at the Kensington Palace gates this week. British news outlets reported that she got into a verbal "stand-off" with an officer guarding a security checkpoint and was turned away.

Samantha, who recently changed her last name from Grant to Markle, was also spotted happily buying party masks from a London street vendor featuring Meghan and Prince Harry's faces that same day.

Samantha first hit out at her famous half-sister after her romance with Prince Harry was revealed, branding her a "social climber" who is "not fit to be a royal".

Eugenie and Brooksbank will be married Friday, October 12, at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle - the same place Harry and Markle Wednesday earlier this year.

The source told the Mirror: "This is the closest Meghan has come physically to that side of her family since she married into the royal family but palace staff had clearly been instructed not to allow her access".

Deciding that she had nothing to wait, it is Saturday headed straight to Kensington Palace.

Seemingly undeterred by being turned away this weekend, Samantha took to Twitter on Sunday, Oct. 7 with, "Everybody would love to know what's in that letter". "She's mindful that she's representing the Queen and the royal family and doesn't want to put a foot wrong".

Before Meghan's wedding, her father famously staged photos of himself reading a book on Britain and faked a heart surgery, while continuing to air his thoughts, frustrations, and private conversations with Meghan and Harry.

"I just think that families can be this way when there's confusion and when people are hurt", she added.
