US Rock Star Loses It During NBA Brawl, Gets Ejected Himself

LeBron James

Brandon Ingram, Rajon Rondo and Chris Paul have been suspended by the National Basketball Association after a punch-up during the Los Angeles Lakers' defeat by the Houston Rockets.

Punishment from the fight between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets on Saturday will affect the Suns' upcoming game against the Lakers. Rondo and Paul were ejected, while Ingram received a personal foul and two technicals on the play, resulting in his fouling out.

The Lakers' Rondo insisted after the game that he didn't spit at Houston veteran Paul, however, hours after the clips emerged, it was revealed Rondo and Paul had been suspended for three and two games respectively.

Paul served the first game of his suspension on Sunday as the Rockets fell to the Clippers 115-112. Paul, Rondo, and Ingram were all drug away from the fight by players, coaches, and security. The Lakers play San Antonio on Monday. "If you wanted to suspend him one [game] I get it, just to make a statement".

Chris Paul put his fingers in Rajon Rondo's face Saturday night, sparking a brawl that's sure to draw suspensions for both point guards. "I don't know how to decide how many games".

Following the spewing of saliva, Paul and Rondo took swings at one another, with the former actually landing a haymaker to the latter's jaw. After Paul and Rondo began fighting, Ingram re-entered the fray and threw a punch.

"In the heat of the moment when somebody does that, that's tough, that's really tough", D'Antoni said.

"[We are] sending a clear message that this is not acceptable behaviour and you can not do this".

The fight could leave with both teams without key rotation players due to suspension. He called Rondo's spitting "pretty disgusting". Through two games, Ingram had averaged 14.0 points while making more than half of his shots, while Rondo's 13.0 points and 10.5 assists made for an excellent beginning to his L.A. tenure. "I think we take this opportunity tonight to go over the things we could have done better and be frustrated", he said.
