US Presidential Hopeful Elizabeth Warren Cautious, But Not Anti-Crypto

In late 2018, Warren took a DNA test that was consistent with the her having a single Native American ancestor.

President Donald Trump famously refers to Warren as Pocahontas, and many social media memes peg her as Faux-cahontas. Her response: "'Yea, again, how about the president spends his time getting the government back open'".

She dodged questions from reporters about Trump and her DNA test as she gave her first news conference.

"I'm ready for something good, something better", the Council Bluffs Democrat said. "We have to have an immigration system that understand the difference the threat posed by criminals and terrorists and 9-year-old girls", she said. Iowa is a popular first stop for presidential candidates as it is the first state to participate in the primaries.

"Over 7,000 people in MA have been sent home or are working without pay during the #TrumpShutdown", Warren said Tuesday, New Year's Day, on Twitter.

Warren said she plans to run on many of those same basic economic issues, which she said have been made even more precarious by Washington politics.
